Health Education is the combination of learning experiences designed to help individuals person and groups of communities improve their health and take care of thier health, by increasing their knowledge and know the preventions of diseases. When you have any concerns with diseases, you are to figure out what it is. I believe that this page is going to help you in your daily lives, and it will make you feel more healthy.

 

HEALTH CONSULTING

IMMUNIZATION

Immunization is the process whereby a person is made immune or resistant to an infectious disease, typically by the administration of a vaccine. Also, it is a proven tool for controlling and eliminating life-threatening infectious diseases.

When should a baby need to immune?

+ At birth (BCG, polio, and in some countries hepititis B)

+6 weeks (DPT, polio, and in some countries hepititis B)

+10 weeks (DPT, polio, and in some countries hepititis B)

+ 14 weeks (DPT, polio, and in some countries hepititis B)

+9 months (Measles)

*BCG offers partail protection against some form of tuberculosis and leprosy.

* DPT protects agianst diphtheria, pertusiss, and tetanus.

It is safe for a pregnant woman to be immunized against tetanus. She should be immunized according to this schedule:

+ First Dose: As soon as she knows she is pregnant.

+Second Dose: One month after the first dose.

+Third Dose: 6 to 12 months after second dose.

+Fourth Dose: One year after third dose, or during pregnancy

+ Fifth Dose: One year after the fourth dose, or during pregnancy.

DIARRHEA

Diarrhea is caused by germs that are swallowed, especially germs from faeces. This happens most often where there is unsafe disposal of faeces, poor hygience practices or lack of cleaning drinking water.

There are four steps to be taken to limit the spead of diarrhea:

+ Dispose of all faeces in a latrine or toilet or bury them

+ Wash your hands with soap or ash with water after contact with faeces

+ Use safe drinking water

+ Wash, peel, or cook all food.

Recommended drinks for a child wih diarrhea:

+ Breast milk (mother should breastfeed more often than usual)

+ Soups

+ Rice water

+ Fresh fruit juices

+ Weak tea with a little sugar

+ cocunut water

+ clean water from a safe source.
